Alfie Wright
Moss Monkey Games

Having co-founded Moss Monkey Games while studying at Norwich University of the Arts, Alfie has led Moss Monkey for almost three years now, serving as CEO, producer and design lead. Under his leadership, Moss Monkey has evolved from a group of friends with a dream to a fully funded, full time indie studio operating out of the heart of the city they all studied in. He's overseen all aspects of the indie journey from the ground up, often learning things on the fly as is necessary. Be it flying to Finland to take place in the largest investor event on the planet, seeing through a six figure investment round, or writing pages upon pages of design documentation to get mechanics just right. The indie journey is many things, but boring and uniform it is most certainly not.
With a passion for a good story at the core of everything he does, Alfie brings a wide skillset to the table, ranging from Art to Design, Programming to finance, but all of it in service of making high quality experiences that will stick with you long after the controller has been put down. Working on Outclaw, Moss Monkey's current title, has led him to specialise in 3d platformer movement, with additional work covering combat systems and companion NPC mechanics, thanks to the game's signature creature collecting system revolving around shapeshifting monsters known as Shades.

Graduate Journeys: Experiences, Breakthroughs and Insights From Both Sides
This Free Round table gives the opportunity to hear firsthand from those who have made the journey from education to industry and those who build the pathways. It provides an opportunity to participate in an open discussion about those experiences and their lessons.
In this open, organic conversation, the students and the path builders will share the positive impact of studio-led mentorship and dedicated incubation. We’ll explore the gaps they found and how the support structures helped them overcome those challenges.
Whether you're a student looking for your own path or a studio head looking to build a better internal culture, join us for a constructive look at the practical magic that happens when industry pathways and emerging talent meet.
