Jason Page has worked in the games industry since he was 16 back in 1988 - initially as a games programmer, but with an enthusiastic interest in music and audio, quickly moved in that direction.
He spent nearly 20 years at Sony from 1996, working on all PlayStation platforms up to the PS4. Initially, he was “the audio guy” covering writing music content, creating SFX, managing recording sessions and programming various audio engines. He was also responsible for European audio support, helping developers with any problems they may have had with the PlayStation audio libraries and suchlike.
Moving away from content creation he went on to manage the European R&D audio team which designed and created a number of the audio SDK components and tools used by developers worldwide on approximately 40% of all PlayStation 3, 4 and PS Vita releases.
In 2016, he left Sony and joined Unity as a console support engineer. In 2018, he became the manager of the team, and then in 2022 moved to a new position as Audio Director of their newly created Game Development Team.
The last title he worked on was Survival Kids, developed by Unity and published by Konami. He created all music and sound effects content, as well as handling the audio programming via Wwise.
