Alex Evans is Technical Director at Media Molecule and universally acknowledged as one of the games industry’s technical innovators. A Cambridge graduate with longstanding links to the demo scene, Alex’s first taste of commercial development was working at Bullfrog during his holidays. He joined Lionhead full time after graduation and fast became a key member of the team, developing cutting-edge graphics tech for titles such as Black & White, Black & White 2 and The Movies. In 2006 Alex co-founded Media Molecule with Rag Doll Kung Fu collaborators Mark Healey, Dave Smith and Kareem Ettouney. The studio has gone on to great things, creating the multiple-award-winning titles LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet2, Tearaway and Tearaway Unfolded and their new title, Dreams. In his spare time Alex turns his creativity to a more musical direction and his visuals and films have been shown around the world, most notably, on tour with Warp Records and the London Sinfonietta.
