Our Diversity & Inclusion Policy

Develop:North is open to everyone

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.

Please see our code of conduct which outlines our expectations for attendee behaviour as well as the consequences for unacceptable behaviour.

  • Reduced-rate passes
We understand that not everyone can afford a full price conference pass, so we offer the following:
    - Micro Indie Pass for start-ups or development studios with 4 or less employees – starting at just £120 if you book early before the Early Bird deadline.
    - Student Pass for anyone on a games course looking to get into the industry – also starting at £120 for the Early Bird Rate.
  • Parent Accessibility
We understand that being a game maker and a parent are not mutually exclusive, so we want to make sure that Develop:North is accessible to parents. Babies and children under school age (4 or below) are welcome to accompany their parents to the event.
  • Under 18’s
Develop:North is a business-to-business event and is not generally open to anyone under 18. If you wish to contact the Organisers regarding this, please email [email protected]
  • Pronouns on Badges
When registering for a Conference Pass you will have the opportunity to select your preferred pronouns, which will appear on your badge should you choose.
  • Remote Access to all Sessions for Confernce Pass Holders Post-event
The Develop:North conference programme will be filmed, so if you are unable to attend in person or feel uncomfortable attending then you won’t miss out on any of the talks.
  • Accessibility
Our venue – The Spine Liverpool is fully accessible. If you have any specific needs please contact us before the event at: [email protected]
